  Bogie hangs with the stars!
Recently, Gene and I were in Los Angeles for business and Bogie came along with us. He got to meet our friends and fellow photographers and dog lovers Jose Villa (and his three dogs, Nelly, Java and Lucca), Becker (who used to have a pug) and Jules Bianchi (and her sweet dog, Olive), and Rangefinder magazine editor Bill Hurter, who happens to be Bogie's number one fan! I didn't get shots of everyone, but while we were walking around Hollywood Boulevard, Bogie found his favorite "stars," Humphrey Bogart and Winnie-the-Pooh!

Oh, and check out Jules' blog for photos of Bogie and Olive visiting the famous hot dog joint, Pink's!

*** Update ***

I received this kind email from Bill Hurter, editor of Rangefinder magazine:

"Love the blog shots of Bogie on Hollywood Blvd. After meeting the lad, he truly has all the star power I suspected. He is real "A-list!"

Best,
Bill"

  Janice, James + Tobey
I'm in Los Angeles for a few days and met up with Janice and James who are getting married next month in Carmel. The couple brought along their adorable 1-year-old Puggle, Tobey. What a great session! We had lots of fun and gorgeous light to play with. I can't wait for their wedding!

  Featured on The Bride's Cafe!
The beautiful wedding of Shannon and Simon, which took place last October at Healdsburg Country Gardens, is currently featured on The Bride's Cafe.

Janie Medley, owner and lead designer of Janie Medley Flora Design, created this blog as a "go to" resource for brides searching for vendors and inspiration for their wedding day. Says Janie: "The Bride's Cafe truly gives me the opportunity to showcase amazingly talented people in the wedding industry."

Thanks, Janie, for the invitation to be part of The Bride's Cafe! And for all the brides out there, please be sure to visit The Bride's Cafe and get ready to be inspired!

  Anna + Seth (part II)
Following my previous post, Anna and Seth were married at San Francisco City Hall on Friday and celebrated their wedding on Saturday at Manka's Boathouse in Inverness, about an hour north of San Francisco and built in 1911. What a hidden gem this place is! The natural surroundings and rustic charm of Manka's, not to mention the gorgeous light we were blessed with, gave us some amazing imagery! I could have photographed Anna and Seth all day long.

The Details:

Wedding Reception: Manka's Boathouse
Bride's Dress: Nicole Miller
Bride's Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
Groom's Suit: Armani
Groom's Shoes: Bruno Magli
Flowers: Matika of Simply Blooms
Cake: Lisa Marie Kincaid of Fleur de Lisa Cakes
Linens + Tablesettings: Classic Party Rentals (St. Helena)

p.s. I was humbled to receive this kind note from Anna:

"The consistent reaction from our friends and families to your INCREDIBLE photography is that it looks like it should be on the cover of a magazine!"

Anna and Seth chose Manka's for it's simple beauty...

The couple responsible for introducing Seth and Anna...

Simply amazing... the work of Matika of Simply Blooms...

I saved the best shot for last... the very camera shy father of the bride. I thought Anna's dad would love to see his photo on my blog! :)

  Cheeko B Pet Boutique Opens!
My pug Bogie has a new place to shop!

Owners Kattya and Patrick, along with their adorable Chiuahuhua's Cheeko (whom the store is named after) and Frankie, have opened Cheeko B, San Francisco's newest, swankiest pet boutique serving dog and cat owners in Union Square, Nob Hill and SOMA.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Cheeko B!

(Please pardon the point and shoot quality images. Also, more news and images of Cheeko B to come, so stay tuned!)

The dog behind the brand: Cheeko...

And his sweet little sidekick, Frankie...

Patrick and Kattya have created a warm and inviting atmosphere for pets and their owners.

Cheeko B offers a wide assortment of stylish collars, leashes, doggie wigs, clothing, toys, treats and beds for the most discerning dogs (and cats, too!).

Kattya was so kind to give Bogie a gift... a stroller! This is one of the most thoughtful gifts. Bogie doesn't walk well and his new stroller allows him to still get around town in style. He just loves it!

Gene found a new friend... this is Houdini the French Bulldog.

And... not too long ago Cheeko and Frankie came in to my studio for their portrait!
